The 50th Year of Elders FarmFest will go down as one of the most successful in the event’s history, as bumper crowds and a record number of exhibitors turned out for bargains, award winning bulls and for one lucky attendee it was a chance to take home a brand new $10,000 lawn mower.
With a number of new attractions this year to wow the crowds there were more than fifty new exhibitors, which attracted 33 percent more farming landowners to attend this year compared with last, while nearly 20 percent more children and students were drawn to The Education Trail than previously attended in 2024.
One of the event’s most popular attractions, The Brahman Feature show, saw over 100 bulls compete across various categories showcasing the importance of the breed to the Australian livestock industry.
Big bargains, big machines and one of the biggest names in footy will kick off celebrations at Elders FarmFest, as this Tuesday marks the start of 50 years of Queensland’s favourite field day.
To ensure you don’t miss out on free giveaways, free financial advice and sweet treats for the kids, for the first time visitors can download the Map Your Show app by scanning the QR code below for both iOS and Android users.
The app offers a range of user-friendly features that allow everyone to personalise and maximise their time at Elders FarmFest, and who knows where the GPS-enabled map may lead you! Maybe to meet one of the legends of Queensland NRL, with Maroons icon Shane Webcke, who not only played 254 games for the Brisbane Broncos and represented Australia internationally, but is also a loyal visitor to Elders FarmFest and a local farmer. Webcke will be a special guest at the AgSmart Connect pavilion ASO | 12-13 for AgTrader, FarmBuy and Farmers’ Finance where mums and dads can get advice on property and finance, deals on new gear and a chance to spin the lucky prize wheel to win something for the kids.
With just two weeks until the celebrations begin, the countdown is on for Queensland’s premier field day marking the 50th Years of Elders FarmFest with the return of our longest-running exhibitors, new feature shows and the unveiling of a brand new technology alley at Toowoomba, June 3-5.
As bush legend Slim Dusty once sang, “Looking forward, looking back, we’ve come a long way down the track”, this year’s event will recognise humble beginnings in 1975 that have seen FarmFest grow year upon year to be one of the most successful field days on Australia’s farming calendar.
Back in those early years, FarmFest was held at the same time as the famous Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers in September, but changed to the June date in the mid '90s. The idea was born from what was known as the Queensland Farmer's Festival, which was held at Coolabah, the property of Mr D.A. Loveday at Biddeston, about 20 kilometres from the Toowoomba post office.
Elders FarmFest returns to Toowoomba 3-5 June to celebrate its 50th Year, and with tickets on sale from today – 15 April 2025 - one visitor will win an awesome lucky door prize – a Kubota Z200 42-inch zero-turn mower valued at $10K courtesy of Black Truck and Ag.
To secure a chance of winning, visitors need to buy their discounted tickets online at www.farmfest.com.au, saving an extra $5 off the full door price and locking in their experience at Queensland’s largest and most influential agricultural field day.

Aon AgQuip 2024 has wrapped for another year, with tens of thousands of visitors passing through the gates and exhibitors receiving good interest across a range of products and services.
NSW Premier, The Hon Chris Minns MP, and NSW Minister for Agriculture The Hon Tara Moriarty MP, joined the field day celebrations on Thursday, visiting some of the more than 2500 exhibitors at the 2024 event, meeting many attendees who stopped to say ‘hello’ and even enjoying one of AgQuip’s famous steak sandwiches, cooked by Calrossy Anglican School students volunteering on the Shorthorn breeders’ stand.

NSW Premier, The Hon Chris Minns MP, will be among the thousands visiting Aon AgQuip 2024 at Gunnedah, taking a particular interest in the new AgSmart Connect Hub where tech excellence and innovation will take centre stage.
Event organisers ACM Agri are pleased to host the Premier, who will be joined by NSW Minister for Agriculture Tara Moriarty, said he was proud of the state’s strong farming history, and was looking forward to another visit to Australia’s largest field day.
“Thank you to the many farmers for being the backbone of this state and beyond. It’s an exciting time to be in primary industries and AgQuip is a wonderful way to celebrate it,” Mr Minns said.
