AgSmart is Australia’s centre of agri-innovation
06/03/2022
In its inaugural year, AgSmart Expo boasts over hundred exhibitors and is set to become a collective centre of agri-tech and innovation for the rural sector.
From its earliest days, Australian agriculture has depended on innovation to advance and prosper. Australian innovations like the stump jump plough, mechanical sheep shears, the mechanised grain stripper, first electric drill, the self-propelled rotary hoe, the utility truck, pneumatic broadacre air seeder and so on - not only changed our farming world but indeed changed world farming.
Since its inception in 1973 the famous AgQuip field days have always focused attention on innovative equipment and practices. In fact, from the beginning, the field days recognised that the interchange of information about new products and services between manufacturers and consumers on the land was a vital part of AgQuip’s ethos.
Now with technology and practices so rapidly changing the face of Australian primary industry, the AgQuip organisers have created AgSmart, a new agri-event with a spotlight to focus attention on national agriculture's new technology and innovation.
“Australian farmers are recognised as world leaders in best practice and efficiency and part of the reason for that is they are continually seeking out new products to help them work more effectively and smarter on their properties,” said Kate Nugent, Group Manager of ACM Rural Events, the event organisers.
AgSmart will play a vital role in bringing the makers and the sellers of these new tech products together with the end users at the one convenient regional location.
“Innovation is something that we are seeing increasingly more of in the industry with farmers responding to global market changes, environmental changes in new and interesting ways. AgSmart will assist in giving farmers the knowledge and the new-tech tools to adapt and prosper.”
The event organisers would like to recognise and salute the strong list of exhibitors who have hailed from across Australia to support the first AgSmart – they are commited to leading our nation’s future farming.
AgSmart 2022 will provide the kinetic energy for agri-tech growth promoting curiosity, courage and connection.
