Aon returns as major sponsor of AgQuip 2024 with new agtech ‘Hub’ promising to be a highlight for visitors

Tickets are now on sale for Aon AgQuip, Australia’s largest field days event, as organisers finalise exhibitor sites and prepare to throw open the gates on August 20.

Aon AgQuip is in its 51st year, after golden anniversary celebrations last year, and runs from August 20 to 22 at its purpose-built site just outside Gunnedah, in NSW’s North West.

Tickets will be available online from July 11 and those who purchase in advance online will enjoy a 30 percent discount off the door price.

Aon is back as the event’s naming rights sponsor for another year, along with over 800 individual exhibitors showcasing more than 2500 brands, including many of the world's biggest names in agriculture.

The event has been showcasing the latest in agricultural products and services for more than 50 years and Sean McKeown, commercial manager for ACM Rural Events, said it promised to be another stunning showcase of the best in agricultural innovation, products and services.

“Aon AgQuip has built a reputation over many decades for giving agricultural producers the most up-to-date information and advice on improving efficiencies and productivity in their businesses, and exhibitors recognise the value in the event when it comes to accessing such a broad customer base,” he said.

“This year’s event is shaping up as another exciting opportunity for visitors and exhibitors alike, and to have Aon back on board as our major sponsor reflects the regard in which this event is held, and its significance to the industry,” Sean said.

Tim Trandafilu, national practice leader for agribusiness at Aon, said Aon was proud to again support an event that has become the benchmark for field days across the country.

“The agriculture industry forms an integral part of Australia’s economy, and we recognise the crucial contribution agribusiness makes to local communities. That is why we are delighted to support AgQuip for the third year in a row. With a network of 35 offices across Australia, we are committed to ensuring every Aon client in regional Australia is better informed, better advised and able to make better decisions that protect and grow their business.”

With Agtech now such a significant contributor to the industry, Aon AgQuip organisers are keen to see this component of the event continue to grow, and this year will expand the AgTech pavilion to include the ‘AgSmart Connect Hub’, which will include industry talks and panel discussions.

Sean McKeown said the AgSmart Connect Hub, stems from the highly successful AgSmart Connect event, which was held in Tamworth in March. “Across two days, the latest in Agtech solutions were showcased, and this event provides another ideal opportunity to continue to share some of Australia’s leading-edge innovation and information with our ever-growing Aon AgQuip audience.”

“Technological advancements are increasingly driving greater sustainability and productivity across our industry, and we know farmers are keen to understand how to utilise these for the benefit of their business bottom-lines. At Aon AgQuip 2024, we are continuing to invest in this area to ensure visitors can not only see the latest in tech innovation, but also how they can apply this practically and effectively,” Sean said.
