Looking for a free ride at Aon AgQuip
08/08/2022
One of the challenges attending Australia’s largest field days is how do you get around the 34-hectare site and see all the 3,000 plus companies exhibiting?
With safety requirements restricting the number of vehicles allowed to operate in pedestrian corridors on the site, the organisers are always searching for ways to make the experience at AgQuip field day a more pleasant one.
AgQuip is providing several 12-seater vehicles to operate as the AgQuip Shuttle Bus, sponsored by Lowes Petroleum - out in the car parks and on the static display grid.
This shuttle bus will provide a free service around the static display grid stopping at major road junctionsbut also as a ‘hail and ride’ service. If you see it … stop it and jump on. This service will be limited to older visitors and those with a genuine need and children will only be able to ride if accompanied by an adult.
The shuttles will stop where you see a Bus Stop sign near food canteens, at AgQuip’s major sponsor Aon Insurance K-L/21 and Agri-Tech Expo, Education Expo, Demonstration Areas, Rural Relief Hub, Headquarters (HQ), Visitor Information Centre, Lifestyle Shopping Arcade and other hot spots across the field.
If waiting for the shuttle doesn’t suit and you’d like to be a little more independent but are finding it difficult to get around, there is also a limited number of mobility scooters available for this year's event.
For scooter hire requirements see Show Mobility who are located on site AA-BB/29 on the western car park side of the AgQuip site.
The number of available scooters is strictly limited with preference given to adult pensioners and people with disabilities and genuine need. The carts will not be available to drivers under 18 years of age.
For free Shuttle Bus, sponsored by Lowes Petroleum, information and scooter bookings call Headquarters on 02 6742 0000.
AgQuip 2022, sponsored by Aon, runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 16 to 18 August, 8 kilometres west of Gunnedah on Black Jack Road – and it’s free parking and ticket admission from $5 online, go to www.agquip.com.au
