TICKETS GO ON SALE FOR FARMFEST 2026: The zero-turn mower giveaway is back!

The “big daddy” of Queensland agricultural field days, FarmFest, is once again ready to bring the farming sector together on June 2 to 4, 2026 in Toowoomba.

Now in its 51st year, FarmFest serves as a key platform for agribusiness in Toowoomba and beyond, with more than 2000 exhibitors set to showcase cutting-edge machinery, technology, livestock, community services and lifestyle solutions.

Last year’s event drew more than 37,000 people through the gates, with many exhibitors recording their best-ever figures in terms of in-event sales and leads to follow up.

FarmFest remains dedicated to supporting farmers and regional communities, connecting industry leaders, innovators, and producers in a dynamic, three-day event that drives growth and opportunity across the sector.

Kids of all ages can join in the fun, with the education trail for the little ones, while the older ones can enjoy demonstrations of vehicles, machinery, earthmoving equipment, drones, along with livestock competitions and career-focused presentations.

Proud sponsors, Elders, along with event organisers Australian Community Media (ACM), are promising a field day for everyone – whether it’s a gift from the thriving shopping precinct, Lifestyle Lane or a bargain deal for something new on the farm.

ACM Agri Events general manager Craig Chapman said all the pieces were coming together.

“With only a handful of weeks before we open the gates for FarmFest 2026 it is exciting to have the quality and diversity of exhibitors attending this year’s event,” Mr Chapman said.

“Irrespective of what agricultural operation you run, there are exhibitors at FarmFest who can provide expert advice and feedback, with the opportunity to meet and talk directly with these exhibitors is one of the real advantages of attending the event.

“To meet the growing interest in drone technology we have created a specific drone demonstration area, while the regular activities, including stud and commercial

livestock competitions, education programs, machinery and equipment demonstrations will all feature again this year.”

FEATURE BREED IN FOCUS

In keeping with the tradition of hosting a feature breed at FarmFest, this year the Simmental Fleckviehs will hold the honour.

Originally from Switzerland and with over 40 million head worldwide, this dual purpose breed came to Australia more than 50 years ago.

Through astute selection of their massive international gene pool, this breed has adapted well to Australia’s wide range of environments and production systems in both pure and cross bred commercial programs.

Traditional Simmental Fleckvieh Society spokesperson Trevor Anderson said the event provided a perfect platform.

“FarmFest is a terrific opportunity for us to showcase the breed and to put a spotlight on their ability to produce high yielding, lean meat as well as high volume milk production,” Mr Anderson said.

“Keep an eye out for more news about the Traditional Simmental Fleckvieh feature breed in upcoming newsletters.”

Schools will be in attendance with a separate category for students showing cattle.
