Jack Paff knows tractors. With five of them already under his belt, he can tell the difference between a machine that works and a salesman who talks.
So when he headed to Elders FarmFest last year, he wasn't looking for a flashy sales pitch, he was after a tractor that would perform at his Muirlea property and a dealer who knew what they were talking about.
He found it at Toowoomba business, Engage Ag.
"They were so down-to-earth. They weren't pushy salesmen, they were just ordinary sort of blokes selling tractors," he said.
"They weren't full of BS, is what I'm saying. They knew what you wanted. It was just so good to be able to talk to somebody who knew something about tractors and what you needed."
After speaking with the team Mr Paff purchased the 80 horsepower Kioti RX8030.
He said the Kioti tractor was better than some of the big brand names for the price. It offered superior tyres, more power and more "extras".
The quality of the Daedong engine was another major selling point.
Engage Ag delivered the tractor to Mr Paff's property and stayed in contact with him afterwards.
Mr Paff is more than happy with his purchase.
"I haven't had any trouble and I've been working it every day," he said.
