Crush proves easy to use on the farm
Ross Gersekowski and his wife Heather say they are still impressed with their cattle crush after purchasing it from Offsider Ag at Elders FarmFest last year.
The couple, who run a grazing enterprise, along with breeding and backgrounding beef cattle near Jandowae in Queensland, brought The 'M' Crush, which boasts a heavy-duty construction frame made with Australia steel, smooth action walk-through head-bale and high clearance bale arms. They also opted for the chin bars and rubber coated floors.
"We go to FarmFest usually every year and we knew that there'd be plenty there on display so we could compare," Mr Gersekowski said.
"It was probably the last one that we saw on the day and I liked it because I have my wife and daughter here who work along with me, and it was very easy to operate. It's what I would call female friendly."
The family used the cattle crush this season to undertake branding, along with needling doing vaccinations.
"It's got its side squeeze, so it was very easy to catch our calves and brand them while they were standing up," Mr Gersekowski said.
"We didn't have a calf cradle set up in our yards at the time, so we used the crush and it worked very well."
Designed to meet the needs of Australian graziers, Offsider Ag cattle crushes aim to make life easier.
